The following people had cases for the March 22 criminal and traffic call in Edgar County Circuit Court.

 

Charges

-Ali M. Metcalf, 29, Paris, was charged with a Class A misdemeanor driving on a revoked license. The public defender was appointed, and she pleaded not guilty with a jury trial demand. A pretrial conference was scheduled.

-Brittni E. Rios, 30, Paris, was charged with a Class A misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. She was assigned to the public defender, and the matter was continued for a first appearance with counsel.

 

Guilty pleas

-Amber D. Burns, 46, Brocton, entered a negotiated guilty plea to a Class C misdemeanor disorderly conduct charge and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days previously served, one year of conditional discharge, a $400 fine, court costs and various state fees. In exchange for the plea, a Class A misdemeanor domestic battery charge was dismissed.

-Brandi R. Kollman, 41, Walcott, Iowa, pleaded guilty to a Class B misdemeanor criminal trespassing and a second identical charge was dismissed. She was sentenced to one year of conditional discharge, a $300 fine, court costs and various state fees.

-Kirklan M. Livingston, 23, Paris, pleaded guilty to a Class A misdemeanor driving on a suspended license charge and was sentenced to one year of conditional discharge, a $300 fine, court costs and various state fees.

-Thomas D. Martin, 57, Paris, pleaded guilty to a Class 2 felony burglary charge and was sentenced to 120 days electronic home confinement with credit for 34 days previously served with 60 days subject to stayed jail time, 30 months of probation, a $500 fine, court costs and various state fees. In return for the plea, the state dismissed a Class B misdemeanor criminal trespassing charge.

In another matter, Martin entered a negotiated guilty plea to a Class 4 felony criminal trespassing to a residence. Martin was sentenced to two years in the Illinois Department of Corrections with credit for five days previously served, a $500 fine, restitution of $107, court costs and various state fees. The prison time was stayed until April 22. In exchange for the plea, the state dismissed a Class A misdemeanor criminal damage to property charge.

-Mallory E. Mason, 29, Marshall, pleaded guilty to a Class A misdemeanor driving under the influence of an intoxicating compound charge. She was sentenced to two years of court supervision, 100 hours of community service work, a $400 fine, court costs, various state fees and ordered to obtain counseling per an evaluation.

-Samuel Moody, 28, Paris, entered a negotiated guilty plea to a Class A misdemeanor domestic battery charge and was sentenced to 180 days of electronic home monitoring with credit for 22 days previously served, two years of probation, a $300 fine, court costs various state fees, ordered to obtain counseling per an evaluation and ordered to have no contact with the apparent victim or the victim’s residence. In exchange for the plea, he will not be prosecuted for a Class 2 felony aggravated battery charge.

-Brittany N. Wilson, 30, Paris; admitted a petition to revoke her probation sentence for a Class 3 felony possession of methamphetamine conviction. The matter was continued for the sentencing hearing.

 

Not guilty pleas

-Terry E. Clark, 22, Paris, pleaded not guilty with a jury trial demand to a Class 4 felony criminal trespassing to a residence, a Class A misdemeanor domestic battery and a Class A misdemeanor violation of a bail bond charges. A pretrial conference was set.

-Michael R. Coe, 42, Chrisman, pleaded not guilty with a jury trial demand to a Class 4 felony aggravated driving while license is revoked and a Class 4 felony criminal damage to property charges. A pretrial conference was scheduled.

-Robert G. Norman, 55, Paris, pleaded not guilty with a jury trial demand to a Class 3 felony possession of methamphetamine and a Class A misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. The matter was continued for a pretrial conference.

-Margo S. Winkler, 27, Carbondale, waived the preliminary hearing and pleaded not guilty with a jury trial demand to a Class 3 felony possession of methamphetamine and two counts of a Class 4 felony possession of a controlled substance charges. The matter was continued for a pretrial conference.

 

Warrants

Warrants were ordered when the following individuals failed to answer the court call: Tyler J. Burmood, 31, Clinton, Ind.; Dustin C. Craig, 40, Paris; Sean P. Christopher, 33, Paris; Everett E. Elsberry, 45, Paris; Jamesray A. Evans, 29, Paris; Charlene L. Maloney, 43, Chrisman; Michael A. Swinford, 42, Hindsboro; and Craig D. Turner, 52, Dennison.
