Individuals appearing before the bench for the May 20 and May 23 criminal and traffic calls in Edgar County Circuit Court included:

In custody

-Alexandra J. Behiter, 25, Brocton, appeared in custody. She was charged with a Class 2 felony burglary and a Class 4 felony criminal damage to property. The public defender was appointed and bond was set at $20,000. The matter was continued for the preliminary hearing and she was remanded to custody pending posting of bond.

-Robert J. Lovell, 38, Paris, appeared in custody of the Illinois Department of Corrections. His motion was granted to continue the preliminary hearing for his unresolved Class 3 felony possession of methamphetamine and a Class A misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia charges. The matter was continued for the new preliminary hearing date. He was remanded to custody of the IDOC.

-Joshua D. Means, 26, Metcalf, appeared in custody. His unresolved charges of two counts of a Class 1 felony residential burglary, a Class 2 felony possession of a stolen firearm, a Class 3 felony possession of a weapon by a convicted felon and a Class 4 felony criminal trespassing were continued for a pretrial conference. He was remanded to custody pending posting of bond.

-Tabitha Munds, 22, Paris, appeared in custody for missing a previous court appearance. Her unresolved charges of a Class 3 felony possession of methamphetamine, a Class A misdemeanor retail theft and two counts of a Class A misdemeanor possession of a hypodermic syringe were continued for a pretrial conference. Her oral motion for bond reduction was denied. Munds was remanded to custody pending posting of bond.

-Kassady C. Neibarger, 30, Paris, appeared in custody for missing a previous court appearance. She denied a petition to revoke her conditional discharge sentence for a Class 3 felony failure to return from a furlough conviction. In another matter, the unresolved petition to revoke her probation sentence for a Class 2 felony burglary conviction was continued for a pretrial conference. Neibarger’s motion to reduce bond was granted. Bond was reduced to $1,000 from the original bond of $4,000. She was remanded to custody pending posting of bond.

-Christopher L. Runyan, 39, Paris, appeared in custody of the Illinois Department of Corrections. He pleaded guilty to a Class A misdemeanor driving on a suspended license charge and was sentenced to 60 days in jail with good conduct credit to apply to be merged with his current DOC sentence, one year of conditional discharge, a $200 fine, court costs and various state fees. He was remanded to custody of the IDOC where he is serving two years for a Class 4 felony domestic battery conviction from Edgar County.

-Jared Z. Tanner, 33, Kansas, appeared in custody and pleaded guilty to a Class A misdemeanor retail theft charge. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail with credit for six days previously served with the remaining 24 days subject to the court’s discretion, one year of probation, a $300 fine, court costs and various state fees.

Charges

-Kylee J. Beaven, 31, Paris, was charged with a Class 3 felony possession of methamphetamine. She told the court she will hire an attorney. The matter was continued for the preliminary hearing.

-Everett Eugene Elsberry, 43, Paris, was charged and pleaded not guilty with a jury trial demand to a Class A misdemeanor driving on a suspended license. The public defender was appointed and the matter was continued for a pretrial conference.

-Josh P. Hornbrook, 27, Paris, was charged with a Class A misdemeanor driving on a suspended license. The public defender was appointed and the matter was continued for a first appearance with counsel.

-Charles O. Howard, 28, Paris, was charged with a Class A misdemeanor driving on a suspended license. The case went to the public defender and the matter was continued for a first appearance with counsel.

-Kenny L. Kansash, no age or address provided, was charged with a Class 4 felony aggravated driving while license is revoked and a Class A misdemeanor driving on a revoked license. The public defender was appointed and the matter was continued for the preliminary hearing.

-Logan R. Machango, 19, Chrisman, was charged with a Class 2 felony burglary. The public defender was appointed. The matter was continued for a first appearance with counsel.

-Jason D. Nield, 38, Paris, was charged with a Class 4 felony aggravated driving while license revoked. The public defender was appointed and the matter was continued for the preliminary hearing.

-Michael A. Starr, 33, Paris, was charged with a Class 4 felony aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol, three counts of a Class A misdemeanor driving under the influence of alcohol and a Class A misdemeanor leaving the scene of an accident. The public defender was appointed and the matter was continued for the preliminary hearing.

-Brice A. Thompson, 29, Kansas, was charged with a Class A misdemeanor driving on a suspended license, a Class A misdemeanor reckless driving and a Class A misdemeanor leaving the scene of an accident. The public defender was appointed and the matter was continued for a first appearance with counsel.

Guilty pleas

-Kristina M. Gruner, 34, Clinton, Ind., pleaded guilty to a Class A misdemeanor driving on a suspended license charge. She was sentenced to one year of conditional discharge, a $300 fine, court costs and various state fees. A warrant for her arrest for missing a previous court date was quashed.

-Patrick J. Hodges, 41, Clinton, Ind., pleaded guilty to a Class A misdemeanor driving on a suspended license. He was sentenced to one year of conditional discharge, a $500 fine, court costs and various state fees.

-Jeanie L. Kelly, 54, Paris, pleaded guilty to a Class A misdemeanor driving under the influence of an intoxicating compound charge. She was sentenced to two years of court supervision, a $750 fine, a $750 DUI equipment fee, court costs and various state fees. She must also obtain counseling per an evaluation.

nKaylee M. Landsaw, 18, Paris, pleaded guilty to a Class B misdemeanor speeding. She was sentenced to a $300 fine, court costs and various state fees.

Not guilty pleas

-Keith A. Gosnell, 33, Paris, pleaded not guilty with a jury trial demand to a Class A misdemeanor unlawful use of a weapon charge. The matter was continued for a pretrial conference.

-Nathan T. Hayes, 33, Paris, pleaded not guilty with a jury trial demand to a Class C misdemeanor disorderly conduct charge. A pretrial conference was scheduled.

-Anthony R. Marchant, 36, Paris, pleaded not guilty with a jury trial demand to a Class A misdemeanor driving on a suspended license. The matter was continued for a pretrial conference.

-Jordan M. Myers, 28, Paris, denied a petition to revoke his conditional discharge sentence for a Class A misdemeanor driving on a suspended license conviction. The matter was continued for a pretrial conference.

nRoger J. Snoddy, 37, Paris, pleaded not guilty with a jury trial demand to a Class A misdemeanor driving on a suspended license charge. A pretrial conference was scheduled.

-Jake J. Sudduth, 26, Paris, pleaded not guilty with a jury trial demand to a Class A misdemeanor domestic battery and a Class A misdemeanor criminal damage to property charges. A pretrial conference was scheduled.

-Ryan W. Wells, 35, Paris, pleaded not guilty with a jury trial demand to a Class A misdemeanor driving on a suspended license and a Class C misdemeanor disorderly conduct charges. The matter was continued for a pretrial conference.

-David Woodworth, 28, Paris, pleaded not guilty with a jury trial demand to a Class 4 felony domestic battery with prior convictions charge. The matter was continued for a pretrial conference.

Other matters

-Julian P. Powell, 28, Paris, learned the state withdrew a petition to revoke his court supervision sentence for a Class A misdemeanor criminal damage to property conviction. The case was closed.
