HH hosts free Medicare info sessions

The 2025 Medicare Open Enrollment Period is Oct. 15 to Dec. 7, 2024.

For those who want to know more about the numerous changes coming to Medicare in 2025 or have just become eligible for Medicare and not sure where to start Horizon Health is offering help.

To help participants make informed decisions about their coverage plans, Horizon Health is hosting a free Medicare educational sessions at three community locations in October. Each session will be tailored to the community in which it is presented:

• Paris, Ill.– Tuesday, Oct. 1 at 11:30 a.m., at the Horizon Health main campus (Conference Room A), 721 E. Court Street.
• Marshall, Ill. – Wednesday, Oct. 2 at 11:30 a.m., at Harlan Hall Banquet Room, 603 Locust Street.
• Terre Haute, Ind. – Thursday, Oct. 3 at 11:30 a.m. (Eastern Time), at the Meadows Conference Center, 2800 Poplar Street.

Keith Leitzen, president of Managed Care Partners of Elmhurst, will present “The ABC’s of Medicare.” Keith has approximately 40 years of experience working with Medicare and other insurance plans. He will discuss the differences and pros/cons of transitional Medicare, Medicare Plus supplements, and Medicare Advantage plans.
