Local man found dead last Sunday morning

A Paris man was discovered dead in a garage behind his residence early Sunday morning.

911 dispatchers were alerted at 5:20 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 6, the family of a male subject was concerned for his wellbeing and requested the assistance of the Paris Police in checking on him.

Upon arrival, police officers forced entry into the garage, where they determined it was necessary to summon the coroner.

Nicholas L. Love, 39, of Paris, was pronounced dead at the scene by Edgar County Coroner Scott Barrett. All evidence currently available is consistent with a suicidal death, said Barrett.

The incident remains under investigation by the Edgar County Coroner and the Paris Police Department.

In addition to the Paris Police department, other agencies responding were the Paris Fire Department and Horizon Health Ambulance.
