Charlene Victoria Ellington, 92, of Paris, passed away at 5:50 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6, 2019, at Twin Lakes Rehab and Health Care Center. She was a fabricator at MECO and before that a lithographer at U.O. Colson & Company.
A funeral service is 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. Burial is in Edgar Cemetery. Visitation is from noon until the service time Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Ellington was born Feb. 25, 1927, at Imboden, Ark., the daughter of the late Wesley Von and Maida M. York Kneisley.
Survivors include two daughters, Melinda Smeader of Paris and Robin (Marty) Smith of Terre Haute, Ind.; a sister, Margaret Ruth Spillman of Paris; five grandchildren, Eric Smeader, Elijah (Ashley) Smeader, Erin (Eric) Davis, Emily Smeader and Sara Smith; and six great-grandchildren, Natasha Smeader, Chanelle Campbell, Isaac Smeader, Dawson Smeader, Grady Smeader and Maizy Smeader.
She was preceded in death by two grandchildren; and a half-sister, Clarice Smith.
Mrs. Ellington was a member of the First Assembly of God Church.
