Jacqueline O. Rinesmith, 88, of Paris, and formerly of Ruston, La., passed away at 3:25 a.m. Tuesday, July 16, 2019, at Pleasant Meadows Senior Living, Chrisman. She was retired after more than 30 years as an office manager with Unarco of Paris and Ruston, and had previously worked in the Elledge and Church insurance agencies in Paris.
A memorial service is 10:30 a.m. July 27, at Templeton Funeral Home. Private interment follows in Embarrass Cemetery, near Redmon. Visitation is from 9 a.m. until the service time July 27 at the funeral home.
Ms. Rinesmith was born Jan. 16, 1931, in Edgar County, the daughter of the late Elijah Dickson Jr. and Ruth Irene Deem Dickson.
She is survived by three grandchildren, Michelle (Kenny) Mayhew of Oblong, Chad (Cindy) Rinesmith of Vandalia, Ohio, and Charles (Jenny) Rinesmith of Robinson; seven great-grandchildren, Payge (Denzel) Mayhew, Cara (Ethan) Mendenhall, Jared Mayhew, Drake Rinesmith, Jacob (Savannah) Rinesmith, C.J. Rinesmith and Zoey Rinesmith; six great-great-grandchildren with two more expected; a sister-in-law, Eva Darlene Dickson of Brocton; three nieces, Cindy (John) McGinness of Brocton, Amanda (Mark) Clapp of Oakland and Teresa (Joe) Blake of Brocton; a nephew, Mark (Pam) Dickson of Brocton; and a host of great-nieces and great-nephews, including special great-niece and caregiver, Julia (Jake) North and family of Paris.
She was preceded in death by a son, Michael Allen Rinesmith; a brother, Leonard A. Dickson; and a niece, Melinda Armentrout.
Ms. Rinesmith attended Danville Community College. She will be remembered as an avid reader and card player who enjoyed collecting antiques, Fostoria Glass and tea kettles.
