Kenneth E. Timmerman, 62, of Paris, passed away at 7:15 p.m. Monday, Oct. 7, 2019, at Union Hospital, Terre Haute, Ind. He was the head of maintenance at the Paris YMCA and Paris Community Hospital.
Following cremation, a memorial service is 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, at Bell Ridge Christian Church. Visitation is from 2 p.m. until the service time Saturday at the church. Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Timmerman was born April 25, 1957.
Survivors include his mother, Betty Coonce Cusick of Chrisman; his children, Amanda (George) Fields of Rosedale, Ind., Brandon Timmerman of Paris, Sasha (Deon) Hampton of Tennessee and Jasmine (Joey) Eveland of Paris, Andy Davidson of Iowa, who Kenneth raised from the age of seven; sisters, Lori (David) Gale of Clinton, Ind., Cathy (Dan) Buckner of Paris and Jerri Lynn (Dave Penn) McKinney of Montezuma, Ind.; eight grandsons; four granddaughters; and one granddaughter expected.
He was preceded in death by his father Virgil Switzer; a son Adam Timmerman; and a brother, Clyde Timmerman.
Mr. Timmerman was a member of Bell Ridge Christian Church and was a coach for Paris Junior League Basketball for more than 20 years. He loved his family, loved to mow and helped people in any way possible.
