Paris accountants made partners

Two Paris certified public accountants have been named partners-in-charge of two offices of Larsson, Woodyard & Henson, LLP, Certified Public Accountants.

Marla D. Coffman and Holden DavisM will lead the Paris and Terre Haute offices of the firm, respectively.

A graduate of Paris High School where she was valedictorian, Coffman earned her bachelor of science degree in accountancy, Magna Cum Laude, in 1990 from the University of Illinois. She successfully completed her CPA exam that same year.

Coffman accepted a position with Philip Rootberg & Company, a Chicago CPA firm, working with a variety of clients during her five years with the company. She was a financial analyst for BRK Brands, Inc./First Alert, before returning to Paris with her family in 1995.

Coffman joined Larsson, Woodyard and Henson as a staff accountant in 1995 and was serving as a manager prior to being admitted as a partner in 2009. 

During her tenure, she has provided diverse services to both individual and business clients, and has developed significant expertise in estates, trusts, and exempt organizations.

A member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Illinois CPA Society, Coffman is active in the community. She is a member and serving on the board of directors for the Paris Kiwanis Noon Club as well as the Meals on Wheels program. She is also a member of 100 Women Who Care of Edgar County and St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Paris.

Coffman and her husband, Shawn, live in Paris and are the parents of two children, Ryan and Jessica.

Davis is also a partner in the Larsson, Woodyard and Henson firm. She is a 1982 graduate of the University of Georgia with a major in accounting. She passed her CPA exam in 1984.

Davis and her husband, Tom, were partners in Davis & Davis, Certified Public Accountants before merging with Larsson, Woodyard & Henson in 1992. She has also taught accounting at Indiana State University and served as an internal auditor at Terre Haute First Bank.

Tom and Holden Davis are the parents of two daughters, Archer Dudley and Betsy Davis and one granddaughter, Holden. 

Davis is active in the Terre Haute Rotary Club and serves a member of the board of directors. She is also a member in both the 100 Women Who Care Edgar County and 100 Women Who Care Vigo County as well as the NX Chapter of P.E.O.

She is presently working to complete requirements as a certified valuation analyst. A CVA performs business valuations as a service to both the consulting community and the users of their services, she said.

Larsson, Woodyard & Henson LLP, has offices in Paris, Casey and Tuscola and Terre Haute, Ind. The certified public accounting firm services local, regional, national and international clients.

Partners in the firm are Coffman, Tom and Holden Davis, Pat Finch, Eric Bradham, Susi Willis and Curtis Root, who serves as the partner-in-charge in Tuscola.
