Paris brothers charged with possession of child porn

Two brothers from Paris have been detained and charged with multiple counts of possession of child pornography.

Following a search of their home on Thursday, August 24, 47-year-old Robert E. Porter and 38-year-old Toby T. Porter were apprehended and charged by the Illinois Attorney General’s office.

Robert Porter is in custody and charged with six counts of possession of child pornography with a bond of $500,000. Toby Porter is charged with three counts of possession of child pornography. His bond is set at $300,000.

The raid was a collaborative effort between the Attorney General and the Edgar County Sheriff’s Department.

The Porters are set to appear in court on September 11.
