The Paris-Union 95 District has announced the selection of a new board member.
“We are delighted to announce the appointment of Ms. Ashley Hemrich to the Paris Union School District 95 Board of Education,” a statement from the District said on Tuesday, June 17.
The statement from the board celebrated Hemrich’s “wealth of experience and dedication to our school community.”
“Her strong leadership qualities, problem-solving skills, and commitment to our community will be invaluable to the Board. We are confident that Ms. Hemrich will be a tremendous asset as we work together to support our students, faculty and schools,” the statement said.
Hemrich previously ran for a seat on the board during the spring election. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Global Leadership from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College and holds a Master of Public Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Indiana State University.
Additionally, her professional background includes her recent role as Access Director at the Human Resources Center in Paris, and previous experience as an Access Coordinator/Case Records Supervisor at HRC.
Hemrich will be sworn in and take her seat as an official board member at the July 14, Board of Education Meeting.
