Nov. 17, at 12:39 a.m., Earnest M. Brooms, 31, Decatur, was arrested at High and Court and charged with driving while license revoked and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Brooms was transported to the Edgar County Jail pending the posting of bond.

Nov. 17, at 3:03 a.m., a 17-year-old juvenile was arrested at 625 North Main on an Illinois Department of Corrections warrant and locally charged with residential burglary, criminal trespass to residence, criminal damage to property and resisting/obstructing a peace officer. The juvenile was transported to the Paris Police Department where he was later taken into custody by the Illinois Department of Corrections.

Nov. 17, at 4:15 p.m., a two-vehicle, non-injury accident occurred at Main and Jasper. The first vehicle involved was a 2004 Ford Ranger driven by Anna R. Carson, 43, Clinton, Ind. The second vehicle was a 2000 GMC pickup driven by Daniel L. Sass, 62, rural Paris. Both vehicles were damaged. Carson was cited at the scene for improper turn at intersection and was released on a notice to appear in court. Sass was cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle and was released on a notice to appear in court.

Nov. 17, at 7:36 p.m., a two-vehicle, non-injury accident occurred at state Route 1 and Cleveland. The first vehicle involved was a 1997 Ford pickup driven by William D. Harvey, 64, Chrisman. The second vehicle was a 1989 Chevrolet coupe driven by Christopher L. Runyan, 41, 413 Adams Street. Both vehicles were damaged. Harvey was cited at the scene for operating an uninsured motor vehicle and failure to yield at intersection and was released on a notice to appear in court.

Nov. 18, at 3:15 a.m., Stephen R. Osterday, 30, Mattoon, was stopped at Jasper and Central and charged with disobeying a stop sign. Osterday was released on a notice to appear in court.
