The following people were among those who had cases scheduled for the Feb. 27 and March 2 criminal and traffic calls in Edgar County Circuit Court:

In custody

Kylee K. Bowman, 23, Paris, appeared in custody. She was charged with a Class 1 felony burglary, a Class 2 felony theft of a motor vehicle, two counts of a Class 2 felony burglary, a Class 4 felony retail theft and a Class A misdemeanor possession of a hypodermic syringe. Bowman was assigned to the public defender and the matter was continued for the preliminary hearing. She is being held without bond. In other matters, a motion to revoke the bail bond was filed for the two counts of a Class 2 felony burglary, a Class 4 felony unlawful possession of a debit or credit card, a Class A misdemeanor retail theft and a Class A misdemeanor criminal trespassing to vehicle charges. The matter was continued for the motion hearing. Bowman was remanded to custody pending posting of bond.

Gage Davis, 19, Paris, was in custody. The two counts of a Class A misdemeanor domestic battery, a Class A misdemeanor criminal damage to property, a Class A misdemeanor violating a bail bond, a Class A misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and a Class A misdemeanor illegal consumption of alcohol charges were continued for a pretrial conference. Davis will remain in custody pending posting of bond.

Ronnie L. Johnson, 36, Paris, appeared in custody. He waived the preliminary hearing and pleaded not guilty with a jury trial demand to a Class X felony possession of methamphetamine with the intent to deliver and a Class X felony possession of methamphetamine charges. The matter was continued for a pretrial conference and bond was reduced to $80,000 from the original bond of $100,000. 

In other matters, Johnson’s Class 3 felony possession of methamphetamine, two counts of a Class A misdemeanor domestic battery, a Class B misdemeanor failure to report to a penal institution, two counts of a Class A misdemeanor driving on a suspended license and a Class A misdemeanor violation of a bail bond charges were continued for a pretrial conference. Johnson will remain in custody pending bond posting.

Jonathan D. Leonard, 44, Kansas, was in custody. A 90-day fitness examination status hearing was scheduled. Leonard’s unresolved Class 3 felony aggravated domestic battery and a Class A misdemeanor domestic battery charges were continued. Leonard was remanded to custody pending the posting of bond.

Vance E. Plew, 28, Paris, appeared in custody, was charged with a Class A misdemeanor domestic battery and a Class A misdemeanor violation of a bail bond, and he pleaded not guilty with a jury trial demand. The public defender was appointed, and bond was set at $10,000. The matter was continued for a pretrial conference. Plew as remanded to custody pending bond posting.

Justin Reedy, 34, Terre Haute, Ind., appeared in custody. He was granted a jail furlough to attend residential treatment. Reedy was ordered to return to the Edgar County Jail after completing treatment. The Class 2 felony possession of a stolen vehicle charge was continued for a pretrial conference. Reedy was remanded to custody pending release for treatment.

Edwardo Santoya, aka Hudmberto Medez Gomez, 31, Chicago, appeared in custody. He was advised of his rights of not being a U.S. citizen with deportation potential. He was charged with a Class 4 felony obstruction of justice, a Class A misdemeanor leaving the scene of an accident and a Class A misdemeanor driving on a suspended license. The case went to the public defender and bond was set at $50,000. The matter was continued for the preliminary hearing. He will remain in custody pending posting of bond.

Albert F. Rubenacker, 62, Paris, appeared in custody, was charged with a Class 4 felony grooming and was assigned to the public defender. Bond was set at $30,000 and the oral motion for a bond reduction was denied. The matter was continued for the preliminary hearing. Rubenacker was remanded to custody pending posting of bond.

Carl R. Schaefer, 41, Paris, was in custody. He pleaded not guilty with a jury trial demand to two counts of a Class 4 felony domestic battery and a Class A misdemeanor violation of a bail bond charges and a pretrial conference was scheduled. His bond was reduced to $20,000 from the original bond of $25,000. In additional cases, the Class 4 felony domestic battery, a Class 4 felony criminal trespassing to a residence, a Class A misdemeanor aggravated assault, three counts of a Class A misdemeanor violation of a bail bond, a Class A misdemeanor unlawful use of weapons and a Class C misdemeanor assault charges were continued for a pretrial conference. He was remanded to custody pending posting of bond.

Charles G. Wells, 23, Paris, appeared in custody and was charged with a Class C misdemeanor disorderly conduct. The public defender was appointed. Wells was ordered to have no contact with 211 Kimble Street and bond was set at $1,500. The matter was continued for a first appearance with counsel. He will remain in custody pending posting of bond.

Charges

Paul L. Hickman, 53, Paris, was charged and pleaded not guilty with a jury trial demand to a Class A misdemeanor theft of utility services. He told the court he will hire an attorney and the matter was continued for a pretrial conference.

Bethany May Miller, 19, Terre Haute, Ind., was charged with a Class A misdemeanor driving on a suspended license. Miller pleaded not guilty with a jury trial demand. The public defender was appointed, and the matter was continued for a pretrial conference.

Pamela J. Price, 58, Tuscola, was charged and pleaded not guilty with a jury trial demand to a Class B misdemeanor speeding. She told the court she will hire a private attorney and a pretrial conference was scheduled.

Pamela E. Rardin, 38, Charleston, was charged and pleaded not guilty with a jury trial demand to a Class A misdemeanor obstructing a police officer and a Class A misdemeanor driving on a suspended license. She indicated she will hire a private attorney and the matter was set for a pretrial conference.

Deborah R. Wallace, 60, Paris, was presented a petition to revoke the conditional discharge sentence for a Class A misdemeanor driving on a revoked license conviction. A pretrial conference was scheduled.

Guilty pleas

Michael A. Adamovich, 37, Terre Haute, Ind., admitted the petition to revoke his probation sentence for a Class 3 felony possession of methamphetamine conviction. He was resentenced to 60 days in jail subject to stayed jail time with good conduct credit to apply, two years of probation and ordered to pay all previous financial obligations.

Carlee L. Darrow, 28, Paris, pleaded guilty to a Class A misdemeanor driving on a suspended license. She was sentenced to a $300 fine, court costs and various state fees.

Nathan W. Hale, 34, Paris, pleaded guilty to a Class B misdemeanor criminal trespassing to real property charge. Hale was sentenced to six days in jail with credit for three days previously served with good conduct credit to apply, one year of conditional discharge, a $400 fine, court costs and various state fees. In addition, Hale was ordered to have no contact with residences on East Blackburn Street. In exchange for the guilty plea, the state dismissed a Class A misdemeanor theft charge.

William F. Harvey, 18, Paris, was charged and pleaded guilty to a Class A misdemeanor illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor. He was sentenced to one year of court supervision, a $200 fine, court costs and various state fees. Harvey was ordered to obtain substance abuse counseling per an evaluation.

Gage A. Lynch, 25, Ridge Farm, pleaded guilty to a Class B misdemeanor speeding charge and was sentenced to a $200 fine, court costs and various state fees. In exchange for the guilty plea, the state dismissed a Class B misdemeanor illegal possession of cannabis charge.

Dalton J. Plummer, 22, Paris, pleaded guilty to a Class A misdemeanor driving under the influence of alcohol charge. In exchange for the guilty plea, the state dismissed a second DUI charge. Plummer was sentenced to two years of court supervision, a $750 fine, court costs and state fees.

Gage M. Raymer, no age provided, Paris, was charged and pleaded guilty to a Class A misdemeanor illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor. He was sentenced to one year of court supervision, a $200 fine, court costs and various state fees. Harvey was ordered to obtain substance abuse counseling per an evaluation.

Jeffrey T. Vice, 35, Mattoon, pleaded guilty to a Class A misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and was sentenced to 60 days in jail subject to stayed jail time with good conduct credit to apply, two years of conditional discharge, a $750 fine, court costs and state fees.

Not guilty pleas

Aaron D. Mullenix, 48, Paris, pleaded not guilty with a jury trial demand to a Class 1 felony possession of methamphetamine with the intent to deliver and a Class 2 felony possession of methamphetamine charges. A pretrial conference was scheduled.

Anthony J.  Tucker, 38, Paris, pleaded not guilty with a jury trial demand to a Class A misdemeanor violating an order of protection charge. The case was continued for a pretrial conference.

Anthony S. Wallace, 35, Paris, pleaded not guilty with a jury trial demand to a Class A misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and a Class B misdemeanor littering charges. The matter was continued for a pretrial conference.

Other matters

Stacey L. Adams, 60, Marshall, learned the state withdrew the petition to revoke the probation sentence for a Class A misdemeanor driving under the influence of alcohol conviction.

Nathan W. Hale, 34, Paris, learned the state withdrew the petition to revoke his probation sentence for a Class 4 felony obstruction of justice conviction.

Tracy L. Parker, 57, Paris, learned the state dismissed a Class A misdemeanor criminal damage to property charge.

Charles G. Wells, 23, Paris, was sentenced for the Class 2 felony theft of a motor vehicle conviction to 1,482 days in jail with good conduct credit to apply and credit for 741 days previously served, three years of probation, a $500 fine, court costs and various state fees. In another case, Wells was sentenced for a Class 4 felony criminal damage to government supported property conviction to 132 days in jail with credit for 66 days previously served with good conduct credit to apply, two years of probation to run concurrent with the previous conviction, a $500 fine, court costs and state fees.

Warrants

Warrants were ordered prepared when the following individuals failed to answer the court call: Jessica A. Barnes, 36, Paris; Terry L. Kennedy, 60, Paris; and Danielle L. Sass, 37, Paris.
