CHRISMAN – Cody Denton was elected as CUSD #6 Board secretary filling the last vacant position on the Chrisman Board of Education during the regular board meeting Monday, May 15.
In other action business, the board discussed the starting of a junior high softball program but after discussion did not approve it.
“With it this late in the year, it will be hard to get a full schedule,” said Dennis Tingley. “I think we should wait until next year so the coaches can talk to the girls and find out who is truly interested.”
The board did approve the allocation of $24,750 to the Health and Savings Life Amendment to pay for the installation of new door handles, locks and key fob scanners but denied the spending of an additional $12,000 to rekey all Chrisman Schools to take one key.
