Betty Lou Stevens, 99, of Jonesboro, Ark., passed away Friday, May 21, 2021. She was the cook manager for the Decatur Public School District for more than 20 years.

A graveside service is 10 a.m. Saturday, May 29, at Edgar Cemetery, Paris. Dawson & Wikoff North Chapel, Decatur, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Mrs. Stevens was born Jan. 21, 1922, in Paris, the daughter of the late Roy and Annis Cushman Mullins. She married Leland F. Stevens on Oct. 1, 1942, and he preceded her in death Feb. 2, 2003.

She is survived by her son, William Leon Stevens of Decatur; sisters, Kathy Blount of Paris and Deana (William) Taylor of Brownsburg, Ind.; grandchildren, Bart Elliott of Jackson, Mo., Darcy (Aaron) Dees of Westminster, Colo., Carrie (Chris) Cook of Jonesboro, Ark., Jim Stevens of Mt. Zion, Roy (Karina) Stevens of Castle Rock, Colo., and Trevor Gilman of Warrensburg; great-grandchildren, Breana (Aaron) Cruz of Sikeston, Mo., Heather Elliott of Jackson, Mo., Jeremy Elliott of Cape Girardeau, Mo., Hannah (Kyle) Anderson of Mountain House, Calif., Elijah Cook of Vilseck, Germany, Kayleigh Dees of Westminster, Colo., Conner Dees of Westminster, Colo., Scott Stevens of Castle Rock, Colo., Wyatt Stevens of Mt. Zion, and Wesley Cook of Jonesboro, Ark.; great-great-grandchildren, Eden Cruz, Adlyn Cruz and Harper Cruz all of Sikeston, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by sons, James and Thomas; daughter, Patricia; brother, Thomas Mullins; sister, Ruby Keltz; and her granddaughter, Stacy Ann Elliott.

Mrs. Stevens was a co-leader for both Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts.
