KANSAS — Deloris Dean Limes, 87, of Kansas, passed away at 4:16 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 18, 2021, in the emergency room of Sarah Bush Lincoln Hospital, Mattoon. She was a homemaker and farm wife and had also worked for a number of years as head cook at the former Westfield High School.
A memorial service is 4 p.m. April 2, at Pleasant Hill Christian Church of Kansas. Visitation is from 2 p.m. until service time April 2 at the church. Private burial is in Fairview Cemetery. Templeton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Limes was born Oct. 6, 1933, in Charleston, the daughter of the late Daniel and Dorothy Pauley Warman. She married Dale E. Limes April 2, 1950, in Charleston, and he preceded her in death Jan. 5, 2004.
Survivors include three sons, Fred (Sylvia) Limes, Ed Limes and Larry “Pete” Limes all of Kansas; a sister, Karon Davis of Ashmore; three grandchildren, Phil Limes of Charleston, Tami (Jim) McCormick of Beaver Creek, Ohio, and Andy (Lauren) Limes of Brandon, Fla.; eight great-grandchildren, Cameron (Nikki) Limes, Cole, Caleb and C. J. Limes, and Ella Kate, Emmy Claire, Luke and Landon McCormick; and two great-great-grandchildren, River and Sage Limes.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Joe Warman; and a sister, Shirley Blanton.
Mrs. Limes was a faithful and devoted member of Pleasant Hill Christian Church for many years.
