Everett G. Catterson, 60, of Paris, passed away at 2:28 a.m. Monday, April 12, 2021, at Horizon Health Paris Community Hospital. He was a laborer for Morgan Manufacturing in Paris.
A funeral service is 2 p.m. Friday, April 16, at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. Burial follows in Edgar Cemetery. Visitation is from noon until the service time Friday at the funeral home. In keeping with State of Illinois mandates due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, everyone attending the service must wear a mask while inside the funeral home. Everyone is welcome but all are asked to keep visits short so that all who wish to pay their respects may do so.
Mr. Catterson was born Aug. 8, 1960, in Clinton, Ind., the son of the late Leon and Delores “Oakie” Haltom Catterson. He married Cathy Hornbrook in Paris, and she survives.
He is also survived by his son, Everett Catterson Jr. of Paris; his siblings, Brenda Schwab of Neoga, Connie (Terry) Lewis of Georgetown and Ronald Catterson of Paris; his brother in-law, Larry Schwab of Terre Haute, Ind.; his sisters in-law, Rhonda Catterson of Florida and Mary Catterson of Paris; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Leon Catterson Jr.
When he wasn’t working, Mr. Catterson enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting and playing cards with his friends and family.
