Gary Watson Daniels, 81, of Paris, went to be with his Lord at 3:50 p.m. Thursday, March 5, 2020, at his residence. He was a professional photographer and a news photographer for WCIA Channel 3. 

A funeral service is 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 10, at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home, with the Rev. Nate Alexander officiating. Burial follows in Edgar Cemetery. Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, March 9, at the funeral home. 

Mr. Daniels was born Oct. 31, 1938, at Urbana, the son of the late Al and Christine Watson Daniels. He married Jean Hildebrand Daniels at the Methodist Church in Mahomet in 1959, and she survives. 

He is also survived by a daughter, Kelli (John) Powell of Evansville, Ind.; a brother, Doug (Eleanor “Cookie”) Daniels of Champaign; two grandchildren, Brandon Bisch of Lincoln, Neb., and Haley (Alex) Zimmerman of Milwaukee, Wis.; two step-grandchildren, Derrick (Kelli Brumett) Powell and Amanda (Jake) Wojkovich, both of Evansville, Ind.; two step-great-grandchildren, Luke and Addie Wojkovich, both of Evansville, Ind.; a sister-in-law, Sandy Crabtree of Paris; and several nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his son, Shawn Daniels.

Mr. Daniels was a United States Marine Corps Reserves veteran and a member of Lake Ridge Christian Church.
