Judith Ann “Judy” Claypool, 80, of Paris, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2020, at Wellbrooke of Kokomo, Kokomo, Ind., after a valiant battle to overcome injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Dec. 29, 2019.


Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 16, at Templeton Funeral Home. A private grave side services is at a later date in the Marshall Cemetery at Marshall. 

Mrs. Claypool was born March 15, 1939, at Terre Haute, Ind., the daughter of the late Porter and Fern Clem Casteel. She married Delbert Claypool May 24, 1974, at Paris, and he preceded her in death in 2003.


Survivors include three sons, Bradley (Christina) Claypool of Center, Texas, Clifford (Carol) Claypool of Jacksonville, Fla., and Mallory (Lori) Claypool of Walton, Ind.; a sister, Mary Lou (Frank) Floski of Mt. Morris; four grandchildren, Dylan, Tristan, Conner and Kieran Claypool; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Claypool was the 1957 valedictorian at Marshall High School. She was an active member of Bell Ridge Christian church and enjoyed her time working at the Edgar County Circuit Clerk’s office the past 15 plus years. She was an avid reader and loved spending time reading and with her family
