LeVon “Bonnie” Yonce Parrish, 107, of Paris, passed away at 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2022, at Paris Health & Rehab Center. She was retired from the former Butler Specialties Furniture Company of Paris and had previously worked 19 years as a fancy stitcher at the former Goding Shoe Factory.
A service celebrating her life is 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 7, at Templeton Funeral Home, with Pastor Gordon Wonsey officiating. Burial follows in Edgar Cemetery. Visitation is from noon until the service time Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Parrish was born March 9, 1914, in Windsor, the daughter of the late Thomas E. and Georgie McCoskey Cross. She married George Yonce who preceded her in death in 1987. She later married Allen A. Parrish, and he preceded her in death in 2000.
Survivors include a son, Robert (Ruth Ellen) Yonce of Paris; two grandsons, Timothy (Tatiana) Yonce and Terry (Jenny) Yonce, both of Indianapolis, Ind.; six great-grandchildren, Brandy (Willie) Bartusch, Stephanie (Justen) Rollo, Heather Yonce, Eugenia Soldatova (Juri Soldatov), Nicholas (Emily) Yonce, and Earl Elliott; and six great-great-grandchildren, Jamie, Nicole, and Chloe Bartusch, Kaden Yonce, Timothy Soldatov and Violet Elliott.
She was preceded in death by several siblings.
Mrs. Parrish will be remembered as a busy and outgoing person who loved going to the casino boats.
