MARTINSVILLE — Nancy A. Nay Macey, 61, of Martinsville, passed away at 10:52 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2021, at home after a short battle with cancer.

MARTINSVILLE — Nancy A. Nay Macey, 61, of Martinsville, passed away at 10:52 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2021, at home after a short battle with cancer.  

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 6, 2021, at St. Mary’s Catholic Parish Church, 414 S. Sixth St., Marshall, with the Rev. Augustine Koomson as the celebrant. Burial follows in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Marshall. Visitation is from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 5, at Greenwell Funeral Home, Martinsville.

Mrs. Macey was born May 12, 1960, in Paris, the daughter of the late Forrest Nay and Alberta Augustus Nay. She married Larry Joe Macey on March 27, 1999, in Marshall. He passed away Nov. 10, 2019.  

Survivors include sisters, Donna (Phil) Nichols of Charleston and Jean Toothman of Charleston; brother, John Nay of Paris; sisters-in-law, Patricia (Monty) Bennett of Benton, Ark., and Audrey Macey of Sidney, Ohio; many uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and her beloved huskies, Sage and Blue

Mrs. Macey was a 1979 graduate of Kansas High School and attended Lake Land College. She proudly served in the Clark County Treasurer’s office since 2003.  In 2018, she was elected Clark County Treasurer.  

She was a faithful member of St. Mary’s Catholic Parish Church.  In her spare time, she enjoyed the beach and spending time on the farm with her huskies.
