Orral Junior Craig, 99, formerly of Charleston and Paris, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2021, at his home in Fort Myers, Fla.  He was a long-time farmer in Edgar County and later a case worker for the Illinois Department of Public Aid.

A private family service in Edgar Cemetery is planned.

Mr. Craig was a loving father of sons Daniel (Anita) Craig of Lake St. Louis, Mo., and Douglas (Cherrie) Craig of Fort Myers Fla.; grandfather of five; and great-grandfather of seven.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years Sarah Joan Humphrey Craig.

Mr. Craig attended the University of Illinois and received a B.S. from Eastern Illinois University.  He was a member of Paris Masonic Lodge and played trumpet in the lodge’s concert band. He excelled serving as a docent at Lincoln Log Cabin State Park near Charleston.

He was an avid gardener and a member of Seed Savers of America.

In later years, Mr. Craig enjoyed a long retirement at Tip-O-Texas Resort in south Texas.
