MARSHALL – Ruby Hollingsworth, 91, Paris, formerly of Marshall, IL passed away at 5:20 a.m. Saturday, March 18, 2023, at Paris Healthcare Center.

A service honoring her life is 10 a.m. Saturday, March 25, at Pearce Funeral Home with Pastor Keith Wallace officiating. Burial follows in the Livingston Cemetery. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home

She was born Feb. 14, 1932, in Shawnee, Okla., the daughter of the late Frank and Iola Bertha Day McComb. On Dec. 26, 1971, she married Ezra Hollingsworth and he preceded her in death on June 29, 2016.

Survivors include her children, Norma Jo (Peter) Ersteniuk of Yukon, Okla., Rex (Jan) Alcorn of Midwest City, Okla., Georgia Modglin of Mt. Vernon, Tonya (Special Friend - Jim Moore) David of Paris, John Alcorn of Harrah, Okla., Marla Bates of Paris  and Cathy Stutesman of Oblong; grandchildren, Christie Easterly, Brian Rundus, Justin Rundus, Kristyn Ersteniuk, Stacie Slaton, Jennifer Alcorn, Michelle Modglin, Elizabeth Modglin, LeaAnn Modglin, Cheri Tucker and Brian Stutesman; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and a brother LeRoy McComb of Cropwell, Ala.

She was preceded in death by two sons-in-law, Roger Lee Modglin and Bennie Stutesman; one grandson Jeff Tucker; one granddaughter, Cristeda Lynn Alcorn; two great-grandchildren; and several brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Hollingsworth baby sat many children through the years and had worked as a CNA and in different restaurants.

She was a member of the Nazarene Church of Harrah, Okla. And especially loved gardening, sewing, cooking, quilting and most of all, her family.
