ELLETTSVILLE, Ind. — William Howard Collier, 78, of Ellettsville, Ind., and formerly of Paris, passed away Friday morning, June 17, 2022, at Spencer, Ind. He was retired from Case in Terre Haute, Ind., and Otis Elevator in Bloomington, Ind.

Funeral service is 3 p.m. Saturday, June 25, at Chandler Funeral. Visitation is from 1 p.m. until the service time Saturday at the funeral home.

Mr. Collier was born July 11, 1943, in the Paris Hospital, the son of the late Orville and Ruth Hickman Collier. He married Sue Hodson Collier March 14, 1982, and she survives.

He is also survived by three daughters, Lorie (John) Dickerson of Terre Haute, Ind., Lisa (Gary) Abel of Terre Haute and Jamie (Dustin) Roe of Terre Haute; former spouse, friend and mother of his children Judy Collier of Terre Haute; four grandsons; one granddaughter; and one great-grandson; one sister, Pauline Good of Paris; and several nieces, nephews and cousins in Paris and Reed Springs, Mo.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Albert and Ernest; three sisters, Norma Jean, Maxine and Martha; and one brother-in-law, Frank Good Jr.

Mr. Collier was raised on a farm in Elbridge Township and was a 1961 graduate of Paris High School. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran.
