Shiloh students feed farmers

HUME— FFA students at Shiloh High School spent a chilly afternoon Wednesday, Oct. 15 doing their part to support the farmers in their community by handing out free lunches.

“It is definitely a project we put a lot of effort into each year to show appreciation for all farmers do. Especially since FFA is big about giving credit where credit is due,” chapter reporter Shaylun Christenberry said. “(We) definitely enjoy taking time out of our day and classes to show appreciation.”

The project was sponsored by Such Seeds in Chrisman.

In addition to handing the sack lunches to drivers in the cab of delivery vehicles at both the Hume Elevator and Equity Elevator, the group also made the meals from scratch with ground beef donated by Metzger Family Farms of Charleston.
