April 29, at 2:02 p.m., Justin A. Benton, 31, Paris, was arrested at 602 East Highland Drive, Apt. 107, on an Edgar County warrant. Benton was transported to the Edgar County Jail pending posting of bond.

 

Paris Fire Department

April 23, at 10:20 a.m., the department was dispatched to 603 West End for an illegal burn.

April 23, at 11:01 a.m., the department was dispatched to provide medical assistance.

April 23, at 4:03 p.m., the department was dispatched to 435 East Court for an activated carbon monoxide alarm. No problems were found.

April 25, at 6:12 a.m., the department was dispatched to provide medical assistance.

April 25, at 8:02 p.m., the department was dispatched to 413 West Grant for a car that struck an apartment building. No injuries were reported, and no damage estimate was available.

April 26, at 12:52 p.m., the department was dispatched to 513 Maple for a vehicle fire.

April 26, at 1:52 p.m., the department was dispatched to 9185 Illinois Highway 16 for a woods on fire.

April 27, at 5:53 a.m., the department was dispatched for a one-car rollover on U.S. Route 150, west of the state line.

April 27, at 2:09 p.m., the Vermilion Station of the Paris Community Fire Protection District was dispatched to provide medical assistance.

April 27, at 6:28 p.m., the department was dispatched to 526 NE Bayard for an activated smoke detector. No problem was found on scene.

April 27, at 9:28 p.m., the department was dispatched to provide medical assistance.

April 28, at 4:09 a.m., the department was dispatched to provide medical assistance.

April 28, at 11:25 a.m., the department was dispatched to Effingham Equity, 13991 E 1700th Road, on a mutual aid call to assist the Chrisman Fire Department with a grain truck fire. The call was canceled en route.

April 29, at 9:39 a.m., the department was dispatched to provide medical assistance.

April 29, at 3:17 p.m., the department was dispatched for a two-vehicle accident at state Route 1 and High School Road.

April 29, at 8:14 p.m., the department was dispatched to provide medical assistance.

April 29, at 11:13 p.m., the department was dispatched to provide medical assistance.
