Paris Police Department

June 17, at 11:08 a.m., a two-vehicle accident occurred at Main and Gibson Drive. The first vehicle involved was a 2011 Chevrolet Traverse driven by Evelyn K. White, 26, Marshall. The second vehicle was a 2018 Ford utility driven by Rita A. Goodman, 71, 422 E. Crawford Street. Damage occurred to both vehicles. White was cited at the scene for failure to yield at intersection and was released on a notice to appear in court.

June 17, at 1 p.m., a two-vehicle accident occurred at Central and Union. The first vehicle involved was a 2014 Dodge van driven by Nishan M. Patel, 24, Auburn, Washington. The second vehicle was a 2009 Toyota sedan driven by a 16-year-old juvenile. Damage occurred to both vehicles. Patel was cited at the scene for improper lane usage and released on a promise to comply.

June 17, at 7:27 p.m., a two-vehicle, non-injury accident occurred at Jasper and Lower Terre Haute Road. The first vehicle involved was a 1997 Jeep Wrangler driven by Donald W. Cown Jr., 23, 413 W. Grant. The second vehicle was a 2019 Dodge Durango driven by Christi McClain, 48, Brocton. Damage occurred to both vehicles. Cown was cited at the scene for no valid drivers license and released on a notice to appear in court.

June 17, at 8:33 p.m., Celina A. Lindsey, 19, 320 W. Washington, was arrested at her residence on an Edgar County warrant. Lindsey was transported to the Edgar County Jail pending the post of bond.

June 18, at 2:28 a.m., Billy J. Dunlap, 42, 711 W. Carroll, was arrested at 307 West Jasper on warrants from Edgar and Coles counties. He was also arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine and possess of drug paraphernalia. Dunlap was transported to the Edgar County Jail pending extradition to Coles County.

June 18, at 2:28 a.m., Michael A. Swinford, 42, Hindsboro, was arrested at 307 West Jasper on an Edgar County failure to appear warrant. Swinford was transported to the Edgar County Jail pending the posting of bond.

June 11, at 10:01 a.m., the department was dispatched to High and Wood for two-vehicle accident.

June 11, at 10:36 p.m., the department was dispatched to provide medical assistance.

June 11, at 10:51 p.m., the department was dispatched to provide medical assistance.

June 12 at 1:14 p.m., the department was dispatched to provide medical assistance.

June 12, at 6:50 p.m., the department was dispatched to provide medical assistance.

June 12, at 7:10 p.m., the department was dispatched to provide medical assistance.

June 12, at 8:38 p.m., the department was dispatched to 9535 state Route 133 for an unknown accident. The call was canceled en route.

June 13, at 8:54 a.m., the department was dispatched to provide medical assistance.

June 13, at 1:16 p.m., the department was dispatched to Main and Monroe for a two-vehicle accident. Firefighters checked both vehicles for hazards.

June 13, at 8:22 p.m., the department was dispatched to the 300 block of West Washington for a reported stove fire. The fire was out upon arrival and was contained in the oven. Firefighters used fans to ventilate the building.

June 13, no time reported, the department was dispatched to provide medical assistance.

June 14, at 12:19 p.m., the department was dispatched to Jasper and Alexander for a two-vehicle accident. Firefighters secured both vehicles and stood by for a tow service to clear the scene.

June 14, at 1:36 p.m., the department was dispatched for a reported machine fire on the third floor at Cargill. The fire was out upon arrival.

June 14, at 2:20 p.m., the department was dispatched to a location south of town on state Route 1 for a ditch fire. The fire was extinguished, and the Oliver Station of the Paris Community Fire Protection also responded to the call.

June 14, at 2:24 p.m., the department was dispatched to the 400 block of East Wood for a power line that fell on a house. Firefighters extinguished the resulting fire and released the scene to personnel from Ameren.

June 14, at 8:24 p.m., the department was dispatched to provide medical assistance.

June 15, at 9:23 p.m., the department was dispatched for a one-vehicle accident on state Route 1 near the Reynolds Way subdivision. No injuries resulted from the accident and firefighters checked the vehicle for hazards.

June 16, at 1:16 a.m., the Redmon Station of the Paris Community Fire Protection District was dispatched to provide medical assistance.

June 16, at 9:16 a.m., the Vermilion Station of the Paris Community Fire Protection District was dispatched to provide medical assistance.

June 16, at 11:06 a.m., the department was dispatched to the 200 block of East Blackburn for an illegal burn. Firefighters extinguished the fire.
