PARIS — The scheduled jury trial for Jordan J. Kollman in connection with the April 3 White Oaks Park incident has been vacated after Kollman pleaded guilty to two felony counts and was sentenced to 11 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.

According to Edgar County court records, Kollman appeared in court Thursday, Aug. 13, and entered guilty pleas to Count III and a newly added Count V. The plea agreement resulted in Counts I, II and IV being dismissed.

“Thanks to the hard work of the Paris Police Department and Illinois State Police, Jordan Kollman has been sentenced to 11 years in prison for his role in the incident at White Oak Park involving the discharge of a shotgun and endangering others,” Edgar County State’s Attorney Philip Dobelstein said in a statement to The Prairie Press. “This outcome holds him accountable for his reckless and dangerous actions and underscores my office’s commitment to public safety and the rule of law.”

Kollman was originally charged with attempted murder/intent to kill or injure, aggravated discharge of a firearm or firearm from an occupied vehicle, felon possession of a weapon and hate crime at a park/community center.

Under the plea agreement, Count III was amended from felon possession of a weapon, a Class 3 felony, to felon possession of a weapon/second or subsequent offense, a Class 2 felony. Kollman pleaded guilty to the amended charge and was sentenced to 11 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections, followed by one year of mandatory supervised release.

He was given credit for 123 days served from April 13 through Aug. 13, 2026.

Kollman was also ordered to pay a $75 fine, a $75 credit-time-served assessment and a $100 Public Defender assessment, along with scheduled assessments listed in the sentencing order.

Count V, mob action/force involving two or more persons, was added to the case, and Kollman pleaded guilty. He received a three-year sentence in the Illinois Department of Corrections, to be served concurrently with the 11-year sentence on Count III. He also received credit for 123 days served and was ordered to pay a $75 fine and a $75 credit-time-served assessment. The sentence carries six months of mandatory supervised release.

The court records indicate the original charges of attempted murder, aggravated discharge of a firearm and hate crime were dismissed pursuant to the plea agreement.

Kollman’s previously scheduled final pretrial conference on Aug. 20 and jury trial set for Aug. 24 were both vacated as a result of the plea and sentencing.

Following the hearing, Kollman was remanded to the custody of the Edgar County Sheriff’s Department for transportation to the Department of Corrections.

The White Oaks case stems from an April 3 incident at White Oaks Park in Paris that led to the arrests and felony charges against Kollman and two others.

Kollman’s plea and sentencing resolve his case in the Edgar County Circuit Court.
