Daniel Ray Winkler II, 56 of Chelsea, Okla. and formerly of Paris, passed away Jan. 7, 2023, at his residence. He was a welder and an automotive mechanic.
The family will host a memorial service at a later date. Templeton Funeral Home in Paris, Illinois is assisting the family with the arrangements.
He was born Dec. 6, 1966, the son of the late Daniel Winkler, Sr. and the late Karen (Arrasmith) Wood.
Survivors include three sons, Cody Winkler of Westville, Anthony Winkler of Chelsea, Okla. and Brody Winkler of Claremore, Okla.; five brothers, Harry and Brian Shivlar, Michael and Robert Wood, and Paul Myers, all of Paris; two sisters, Danielle Mills and Leatha Brown, both of Paris; his bonus father Robert Wood, Sr. of Paris; grandchildren Kiara and Jack Winkler of Okla. and Elaina and Eveylia Winkler of Westville; and several nieces and nephews, Laura, Justin, Garrett, Sara, Kyle, Alyssa, Madie, Morgan, Jayse, Devyn, Dakota, Hailey, Hannah, and Brooklyn.
He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter Elizabeth, and a sister Tammi Keefer.
Mr. Winkler enjoyed playing pool and chess. He loved watching movies with his grandbabies.
Memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
