Donald L. Seals, age 89, of Paris, passed away at 11 p.m. Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at Marshall Rehabilitation and Nursing surrounded by family.
A graveside service is 3 p.m. Thursday, March 9, at Lick Prairie Cemetery in Wabash County, Illinois. Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mr. Seals was born on Oct. 29, 1933, in Mt. Carmel, to the late William Leonard and Zelma Whyde Seals. He married Billie Ann Breen on Dec. 26, 1959, and she survives.
Other survivors include his children, Donnie Seals of Paris and Leslie Ann Seals of Paris; his grandchildren, Racheal Elsberry of Paris and Rianna (Eric) Lundy of Pueblo, Colo.; and his great granddaughter, Eva Lundy of Pueblo.
He is preceded in death by his three brothers and four sisters.
Mr. Seals served his country as member of the United States Navy.
He was a transmission technician for GTE Telephone. Mr. Seals was a member of the Midwest Marines Fishing Club, Lincoln Land Bass Masters, and the Model Airplane Club – Okaw Valley RC. He enjoyed bass fishing, canning food, working in the yard and gardening.
Mr. Seals was an avid Illini and Cardinals fan.
