Mary Ann McClarey, 85, Paris, passed away at 10:41 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 25, 2022, at Paris Healthcare Center.

A funeral service is 1 p.m. Thursday Sept. 29 at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home with burial to follow in Edgar Cemetery. Visitation is from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral.

Mrs. McClarey was born on March 30, 1937, in Mattoon the daughter of the late Robert and Esta Eveland Pippin. She married Ralph Edward McClarey in Mattoon on April 18, 1954. He preceded her in death on Nov. 17, 2010.

She is survived by her children, Christy Seeley of Paris, Linda K. (Harold) Strow of Paris, Amy (Andy) Prouse of Paris and Scott McClarey of Paris; her siblings, Marge Herman of Spring Hill, Tenn. and Darlene Chaney of Spring Hill, Tenn.; her sister in law, Linda Pippin of Deepwater, Mo.; her grandchildren, Tami (Scott) Asche, Kimberly (Cory) Shanks, Cody Strow, Tim (Ashley) Seeley, Ryan (Johnna) Prouse, Brandon (Ashley) Prouse, Destanie Prouse, Jayden McClarey, Tomas McClarey and Matthew Seeley; her great grandchildren, Madison Asche, Jasmine Strow, Allison Seeley, Lanie Seeley, Braxton Prouse, Bentley Prouse, Olivia Prouse, Tinzlee Prouse, Hadaly Prouse and Trinity Littleton; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brother, Dave Pippin, two infant siblings, and her son in law, Don Seeley.

Mrs. McClarey was a homemaker and had an in-home childcare. She was a longtime and active member at First Christian Church and the Nazarene Church in Paris.
