Parker Allen Julian, 84, of Paris, and formerly of Montgomery, passed away at 10:48 a.m. Thursday, July 8, 2021, at Life’s Journey Senior Living in Paris. He was retired after 38 years as a tool and die supervisor with Caterpillar of Montgomery.

A graveside service is 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 13, at Woodlawn Cemetery near Indianola. Visitation is from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. Tuesday at Templeton Funeral Home.

Mr. Julian was born Dec. 2, 1936, in Hume, the son of the late Earl and Helen Porter Julian. He married Irma Irene Callaway in January 1956 in Paris, and she survives.

Other survivors include three children, Carson (Jayne) Julian of Walnut Creek, Calif., Chris Julian of Aurora and Angela Julian (Rodney Cabotage) of Paris; a brother, Jerry Julian of Riverton; a sister, Joan Black of Lowell, Ind.; four grandchildren, Joshua, Zachary, Betsy and Nicole; and two great-grandchildren, Nick and Nate.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Julian; and an infant sister, Jane Julian.

Mr. Julian served in the U.S. Navy Reserves and attended First Christian Church of Paris. He was an avid automobile enthusiast who loved collecting, restoring and showing classic cars throughout the country. An active member of the Silver Springs Chapter of the Antique Automobile Club of America, he owned more than 100 autos throughout his life. When he wasn’t spending time with his family or cars, Mr. Julian enjoyed motorcycle trips with his co-workers from Caterpillar. He will be remembered as someone who was easy-going, funny and loveable.
