Randy McCollum

Randy McCollum, 60, of rural Paris, passed away at 7:45 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2022, at his residence. He was a supervisor at Great Dane.

A funeral service is 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 18, at Templeton Funeral Home. Burial follows in Grandview Cemetery. Visitation is from 10 a.m. until the service time Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mr. McCollum was born Aug. 12, 1961, in Evansville, Ind., the son of James and Marylyn Rumley McCollum. He married Julie Barr Feb. 24, 2018, in Oakland, and she survives.

  Other survivors include his mother, Marylyn McCollum of Oakland; two children, Connor McCollum of Paris and Lydia (Jed) McKinney of Charleston; a stepson J.R. Campbell of Paris; three brothers, Jeff (Elaine) McCollum of Charleston, Mark McCollum of Paris and Brad (Lisa) McCollum of Oakland; three grandchildren, Sawyer McKinney, Caison McKinney and Chennel Campbell; and several nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Greg McCollum.

Mr. McCollum was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was the life of the party, always smiling and laughing, and he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. 

The family thanks Lincolnland Hospice, especially Cassie Elliott, for the wonderful care he received.
