WEST TERRE HAUTE, Ind. — Samuel Lee Dugger, 79, of New Goshen, Ind., passed away Thursday, Feb. 11, 2021 in Union Hospital, Terre Haute, Ind. He was a machinist for General Electric.

A funeral service is 1 p.m. EDT Wednesday, Feb. 17, at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Pleasantview Cemetery. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16, at the funeral home.

Mr. Dugger was born July 23, 1941, at Paris, the son of Samuel Dugger and Catherine Mullen Dugger.

He is survived by his wife, Judith Hayes Dugger; his daughters, Sandi (Gary) Eller, Samantha (Mike) All and Damita (Jim) Lewis; his sons, Timothy (Donna) Dugger and Scott (Theresa) Dugger; his sister, Kaye (Ken) Gard; his grandchildren, Desirae Dugger, Meghan Eller, Sarah (Josh) Belfi, Grace All, Christopher Dugger, Kimberly Dugger, Amanda Dugger, Kaydee Dugger and Blaze Lewis; his great-grandchildren, Blake Bennett, Aubree Doss, Jenna Belfi, Dymontae Maben, Brielle Dugger and Kendyll Lewis; and great-great-grandchild Juniper Lewis; his former daughters-in-law, Jody Dugger and Betty Dugger; and his beloved dogs, Hank, Daisy and Socks.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepfather, Donald Dugger; and his sister-in-law, Linda Jones.

Mr. Dugger loved to fish and be on the river. He enjoyed drinking coffee by the fire with his friend, Susie Mitchell. He volunteered much of his time at the Providence Food Pantry, and he loved to go on golf cart rides with his dogs.
