Verdie Rovine Land, 95, Lake Zurich, Iand formerly of Paris passed away at 9:52 a.m. Wednesday, March 8, 2023, Cedar Lake Assisted Living in Lake Zurich.

A service celebrating her life is 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at Templeton Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Williamson officiating.  Burial follows in Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  Visitation will be from noon until the service time Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Land was born Oct. 8, 1927, in Paris, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Gladys Bowley Ashley.  She married Frank T. Land on June 26, 1947, in Paris and he preceded her in death on Feb. 4, 1996.

Survivors include three daughters, Sheryl Land of San Francisco, Calif., Holly (Douglas) Samz of Hawthorn Woods and Pam Gowan of Myrtle Beach, S. C.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by one sister; and three brothers.

She worked at Grab It Here Grocery and Kroger in Paris for many years.
