Vicki Lynn Elmore, 68, of Paris, and formerly of Banning, Calif., passed away at 4:04 a.m. EST Friday, Nov. 13, 2020, at Union Hospital, Terre Haute, Ind. She was retired after many years as a partner with her husband in Paris Electric.

At her request, no public services are planned at this time. Private interment is at a later date. Templeton Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Mrs. Elmore was born Dec. 4, 1951, in Springfield, the daughter of the late Ernest and Arlin “Suzy” Carroll Elston. She married Larry G. Elmore June 9, 1974, in Banning, Calif., and he survives.

Other survivors include two children, Darren (Amy) Elmore of Paris and Shelby Elmore (Alan Bryan) of Plainfield, Ind.; two sisters, Lois (Bruce) Saunders of Calimesa, Calif., and Jane Freezeland of Ashmore; two grandsons, Alex (Kayli) Elmore of Charleston and Cameron Elmore (Mariah Carroll) of Paris; her lifelong best friend, Renee Michaud of Lawrenceburg, Tenn.; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Elmore was a member of Paris BPW, Paris Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism, and the National Organization of Women, and she had served as coordinator for the local Red Cross chapter for many years. She loved music and found deep meaning in the musical bond she enjoyed with her children and grandchildren. An accomplished singer in her younger years, she was proud to have opened for the late Marty Robbins. She was also proud of having founded an accredited NJATC apprenticeship program in the Paris area.

Memorial donations may be made to the Paris Center of Fine Arts.
