Paris Police Department conducts multiple narcotics investigations, arrests

PARIS—The Paris Police Department announced that a series of narcotics investigations over the past month have resulted in five arrests and the seizure of a significant quantity of illegal items. Five search warrants were executed as part of the coordinated effort between the department’s Patrol Division, Investigation Division and the Paris PD FBI Task Force Officer assigned to narcotics.

Seized items included:

  • Approximately a half pound of methamphetamine
  • More than one pound of cannabis
  • Multiple controlled substance pills (including Xanax, Clonazepam and Oxycodone)
  • A large quantity of ammunition
  • Six firearms, three of which had been reported stolen (17 total firearms recovered between Jan. 1 and Sept. 1, 2025)
  • One stolen side-by-side utility vehicle

Charges filed against the individuals include:

  • Armed Violence (Class X Felony)
  • Aggravated Methamphetamine Delivery (Class X Felony)
  • Methamphetamine Delivery (Class X & Class 1 Felony)
  • Aggravated Possession of a Stolen Firearm (Class 1 Felony)
  • Controlled Substance Delivery (Class 1 Felony)
  • Numerous other felony-level charges

In addition to the search warrant operations, multiple traffic stops conducted by patrol officers recently led to the seizure of about one ounce of methamphetamine along with other illegal substances.

Police also noted ongoing progress in other investigations, including recent arrests tied to financial scams, identity theft and the arson at the Old Vance School, which resulted in arrests made the same day of the fire.

Chief Terry Rogers emphasized the department’s ongoing commitment to public safety, stating the agency will continue to aggressively target illegal drug activity and violent crime.
