March 22, at 7:32 a.m., Barbara J. Lemler, 78, 430 W. Newton, was cited for failure to yield to pedestrian. Lemler was released on a notice to appear in court.
March 22, at 9:11 a.m., Christopher E. Castle, 37, 407 E. Garfield, was issued city ordinance citation 115.11-outdoor accumulation of junk and trash at 407 East Garfield. Castle was given a city court date.
March 22, at 9:30 a.m., Amy L. Dasilva, 50, 1008 Broom was issued two city ordinance citations: 115.11-outdoor accumulation of junk and trash and 93.91-accumulation of material harboring vermin and pests at 1008 Broom. Dasilva was given a city court date.
March 22, at 10:45 a.m., a two-vehicle, non-injury accident occurred involving Kaitlyn R. Jones, 37, 2 Tonya Court and Karen S. Phelps, 66, Clinton, Ind. Phelps was cited at the scene with improper backing and released on a notice to appear in court.
March 22, at 2:14 p.m., Paul E. Gibson, 59, 410 E. Garfield, was stopped at West End and Liberty and cited for expired registration, operating uninsured motor vehicle and driving while license revoked. Gibson was released on a notice to appear in court.
March 22, at 5:45 p.m., Chet J. Tex, 27, Moweaqua, was arrested at 721 East Court and charged with disorderly conduct. Tex was transported to the Edgar County Jail pending posting of bond.
March 23, at 2:49 a.m., Carl B. Kelly, 56, Brocton was arrested at 160 Michigan Avenue on in-state warrant for escape. Kelly was transported to the Edgar County Jail.
The public is reminded that all people arrested, or otherwise charged, are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
